From England to Bali

Growing up in Indonesia and later living in the UK  & Abu dhabi, where she worked in aviation and
hospitality Maya naturally developed a deep understanding of service and care. Across all of these places, she
cooked both privately and professionally — hosting intimate dinners, preparing food for friends and family, and
serving guests in high-pressure environments. These experiences shaped her instinctive approach to food:
personal, thoughtful, and grounded in real connection.
Through this journey, Maya developed a natural sensitivity to flavour, timing, and atmosphere. She understands
how food, service, and setting work together to make people feel welcome and looked after. Her cooking is
guided by generosity and intuition, balancing technical skill with emotional intelligence — creating meals that are
not just well made, but deeply felt.
